USMC MARPAT digital camouflage

The US Army have their ACU and the USMC have their MARPAT (MARine PATtern) MCCUU (Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform). In fact, they were the ones who came up with the digital camouflage in 2002 that is now the rage.

When the uniforms were first introduced, Dragon wasted no time in producing 1/6 scaled versions and the first of these was the USMC LRRP "John" in 2002 - another fine figure from Dragon. He came fully decked with his USMC MOLLE (MOdular Lightweight Load-bearing Equipment) which consisted of his FLC (Fighting Load Carrier) along with his main rucksack secured to a lightweight frame together with his sleeping mat and additional pouches. The whole system was so detailed and complex that the website had assembling instructions. I read in Cotswold that the one of their reviewers (himself a USMC) had to play an instructional tape issued to them in order to put the whole thing together.

Next up: BBI "Arthur Fenton" with USMC MARPAT Woodlands Camouflage
