Part 2 of 2: Kitbash 1/6 scale G.I. Joe Snake Eyes Ninja Master 12-inch action figure

continued from previous post...

More pictures of my attempt at bashing a 1/6 scale Snake Eyes 12-inch action figure from the G.I. Joe team, this time Snake Eyes has sheathed his sword / ninjato and opted to use his sub-machine gun instead, for those enemies that are beyond the reach of his edged weapon.

The year ended with a bang on Hot Toys announcement with preview pictures of their upcoming movie merchandise series "G.I. Joe Retaliation" 1/6th scale Snake Eyes 12-inch Collectible Figure (see the preview pictures HERE). That will be an awesome figure and I can't wait for it to come out. In the meantime, I had kitbashed this Snake Eyes 12-inch action figure after coming across a loose 1/6 scale Snake Eyes head. This version is based on the comics and not the movie ;p

Why do we do it? Because just like me, there are many 12-inch figure collectors who didn't like or care for the two versions of Snake Eyes put out by Sideshow Collectibles. So we all decided to bash our own instead. Scroll down to see more pictures.

As I had mentioned earlier, this kitbashed Snake Eyes black stealth outfit (including the 12-inch action figure body) is mainly from Dr Figures 1/6 scale CIA Field Operator 12-inch Figure (check out my REVIEW here with lots of pictures).

Additional parts (shoulder and arm armor plus knee pads) came from the Triad Toys 1:6 scale G4H (Gun 4 Hire) Tyrus Kilemahl: Elite Ballistics Support (EBS) 12-inch action figure. Loads of pictures posted HERE. Triad Toys' parts i.e. all their accessories were very badly produced and the parts of his gear just fell apart in no time :( It's all put to good use here now with lots of double-sided tape which comes in most handy when putting things back together.

Snake Eyes has a a Heckler & Koch MP7A1 holstered on his left side

There's also the curved blade on his back plus his sword, good for those close combat encounters and when stealth is of the utmost importance.

The submachine gun he has in his hands is from the Cy Girl series by BBI (Blue Box International). There's a spare magazine is stored on the foldable stock - practical and cool.

Close-up pictures of my kitbashed 1/6 scale Snake Eyes 12-inch action figure. He also has a pistol holstered in a drop-down holster strapped to his right thigh with spare pistol magazine.

Scroll down to see more views / pictures of Snake Eyes. I am quite happy with this outcome

Snake Eyes is a fictional character from the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toyline, comic books and cartoon series. He is one of the original and most popular members of the G.I. Joe Team, and is most known for his rivalry with Storm Shadow. Snake Eyes is one of the most prominent characters in the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero franchise, and has appeared in every series since its inception. [source: wiki]

Snake Eyes usually wears what could perhaps best be described as a black "military ninja" bodysuit, along with a balaclava and visor to cover his face, which was disfigured in a helicopter explosion. Since then, Snake Eyes has had extensive plastic surgery to repair the damage to his face; he still has a few scars left, but his vocal cords cannot be repaired.
